Pastor Kadeem R. Massiah

Kadeem Ricardo Massiah is a native of Boston, MA. The eldest of three sons to his mother Cynthia. His ministry call was apparent to his family from an early age. When asked what he wanted to be when he grew up his answer was, a pastor. The Massiah family has deep roots in Cambridge after immigrating from the beautiful island of Barbados and have been members of the Abundant life Church, formerly known as the Apostolic Pentecostal Center for over forty years. It was in the pews of this church that Kadeem’s passion for the Lord was birthed and has been nurtured.
Kadeem attended Boston College majoring in Applied Psychology with a Theology and Spanish minor. During his time there, he was instrumental in the growth and expansion of the Multicultural Christian Fellowship intervarsity. While learning more about his ministry call and capabilities and making lifelong friends, he met his college sweetheart Sade. They married soon after graduation in September of 2012. Upon completion of his degree, they moved to Baltimore MD, where Sade continued her education and Kadeem served as the youth minister at the Tabernacle of the Lord Church and Ministries where Bishop C. Guy Robinson is Pastor. His work in inner city urban youth ministry is a passion that still fuels his life’s work today.
When their season in Baltimore was complete the family moved to Charlotte NC. Kadeem started school at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. While in Charlotte they planted a church and pastored for a few years. The ministry on Kadeem’s life has always been one with a strong focus on healing and deliverance. His years in the mental health field have given him a unique ability to integrate the health of our souls in his preaching and discipleship practices. Kadeem believes that healing our souls will make the Kingdom of God effective in the earth realm. It is with this heart he and his wife Sade co-founded Compassion where Kadeem serves as a clinical coach for men. Compassion is a ministry that is equipping leaders and the church to seek wholeness and restoration in a broken society, through trauma informed principles, counseling, coaching and healing retreats.
After a season of discernment Kadeem and his family transitioned back to Boston where he started a new role as Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary’s Campus for Urban Ministerial Education Lilly Grant Project Manager. During his time there he was afforded the opportunity to lead and serve cohorts of churches and youth ministries as they were equipped to thrive amidst so many climate changes and the realities of a post- pandemic church. He recently graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Ministries with an Urban Ministry Concentration. Kadeem’s life story makes him a compelling speaker, compassionate counselor, and an awesome friend to many. Coming from a single parent household and raised in the inner-city God has afforded him many opportunities to break stigmas and stereotypes. His passion for travel has allowed him to see the world. His heart for justice has led him to missions work in Jamaica, Uganda, Kenya, Dominican Republic, and Haiti to name a few. Currently he serves as the Director of Engagement for Arrabon, a spiritual formation ministry that equips Christ followers to actively and creatively pursue racial healing in their communities. He and his wife Sade reside in Boston with their four children Jade, Isaac, Micah and Jonah. They love God and have a passion to serve God’s people.
